Cassie was the very first model to try to start our 1982 Mercedes Benz TE 280 wagon. This car is a "gray market" car which could not be sold new in the US due to emissions standards. Ours was bought in Germany and imported into New Jersey. We knew when we bought the car that the master fuse box was faulty but tapping on the box would usually allow the car to start. Not this time! Try as she might, Cassie could not get the MB to turnover, much less start. The fuse box has since been replaced at a cost of over $300. Part Two opens with Cassie trying to start the 51 Chevy in her stocking feet. When it finally starts, Cassie revs the engine. The car eventually dies and is very hard to get started again.
