Part One opens with Faith trying to start the Bug. After almost five minutes of cranking and pumping, it finally starts. However, it stalls while she's driving and again in the driveway when she returns home. In Part Two, Faith starts the Falcon, but it stalls as she backs out of the garage. The car starts twice but dies each time she puts it into gear. The car finally won't start at all and has to be pushed back into the garage. Part Three finds Faith cranking the Valiant until the battery starts to run down. With the battery almost drained, the car starts and Faith revs the engine.
